How to Access Reconciliation Reports in QuickBooks Online

Learn how to find and view your reconciliation reports in QuickBooks Online in just a few clicks.

Why this matters

A reconciliation report is your proof that the balances in QuickBooks match your bank and credit card statements. It shows what cleared, what's still outstanding, and whether anything changed after the account was reconciled.

Your accountant, lender, or tax preparer may ask for these reports. The good news? They take less than a minute to pull up.

How to access your reconciliation reports

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click the Reports icon in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click the Type report name here search field.
  4. Type Reconciliation.
  5. Select Reconciliation Reports from the results.
  6. Find the account and statement period you need, then click View report.

That's it! Your report will open and can be printed or saved as a PDF.

Helpful tips

  1. Choose the right account. Each bank and credit card account has its own reconciliation reports. Use the account dropdown at the top of the page to switch between them.
  2. Watch for changes after reconciliation. If a transaction was edited or deleted after the account was reconciled, the report will flag it. These changes can throw off future reconciliations, so let us know if you see one.
  3. Save a copy. When sending a report to your accountant or lender, save it as a PDF so the numbers stay locked in.
